A letter to the editor of QCOnline promotes Cheri Bustos claiming she applies the same positive attributes she exhibited as a reporter with her time as congressperson.
Unfortunately for the writer, I had to LOL at the very first line of her letter:
“Its been said that a great reporter has endless curiosity…”
Maybe back in the mid-20th century, but today this “endless curiosity” is best described by Josh Kraushaar, editor of National Journal who exclaimed in a tweet upon learning that the Obama White House had lied about its involvement in the Secret Service hooker scandal:
“First instinct is to trust what the WH is saying, but they’ve squandered a lot of that trust lately.”
Clueless? Trusting? Credulous? Fanboy? Tool of the establishment?
No matter the answer, “endless curiosity” never figures into the personalities of today’s reporters.
