The Myth Of Voter Fraud

Battle Swarm says that when Democrats say there’s no voter fraud, they’re lying and he has the facts to prove it:

…4 Democrat operative in Troy New York forge signatures on absentee ballots

…Massachussetts Democrat State Rep. plead guilty to voter fraud

…Three Arkansas Democrats and a police officer plead guilty to bribing voters

…In Indiana, registration and voting ballots of others

…Milwaukee person voted illegally four times

…Texas woman voted multiple times in Democrat primary

…Maryland woman cast ballot for recently deceased mother

etc. etc. Details at the link.

You’ll notice a pattern here—Democrats, who scream the loudest that voting integrity and photo IDs are racist and disenfranchise voters are the most likely to commit—voter fraud.

Surprise! Surprise!

  1. What we are saying is that we can not disenfranchise voters because of a few bad apples.

The courts have agreed and this is why it is imperative that voters get their right to vote.

  2. Show me the proof of voter disenfranchisement due to voter ID.

If facts play any part in your ideology/opinions you would know that in such states as Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana and Virginia, black voter turnout exceeded white even with stricter voter ID laws. States like Kansas, Arkansas and Texas saw no difference.

The courts have NOT agreed—recently Wisconsin was restored its voter ID law by the courts.

Also there are currently voter fraud scandals in Georgia—Democrat operatives again, in North Carolina and in DC/Maryland/Virginia where voters have routinely crossed state lines to vote multiple times.

What you are REALLY saying is that your ideology is so unpopular that if you can’t cheat you can’t win.

I don’t want any more of your lame talking points about “disenfranchisement”—show me proof!

And not just “a few bad apples” that claim to be disenfranchised.

  3. During the September 17 edition of Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox correspondent Mike Tobin reported on the upcoming gubernatorial election between Governor Scott Walker (R) and Democratic challenger Mary Burke. During a discussion of polling numbers placing the two candidates at a statistical tie, Tobin acknowledged that the implementation of the state’s new voter ID laws could potentially impact the election.

Voter ID laws have real consequences on elections. As the Brennan Center for Justice reported in a 2013 study, “free IDs are not equally accessible to all voters,” and voter ID laws “make it harder for hundreds of thousands of poor Americans to vote.”

  4. Brennan is a liberal advocacy organization and think tank with a well known antipathy for Voter ID and Citizens United.

Your dishonesty is exposed by your omission of the word “may” in the quote about Voter ID laws. These are liberal opinions expressed here—where are the facts?

And of course Voter ID laws have real consequences—they root out the frauds mentioned in my post making elections more honest—something liberals and Democrats obviously oppose.

  5. So are you saying Mike Tobin and Fox News are a liberal think tank as well?

Since 2002 election fraud investigations by the Texas Attorney General’s Office have resulted in 50 convictions. Those cases include a woman who submitted her dead mother’s ballot, a paid operative who cast two elderly voters’ ballots after transporting them to the polling place, a city council member who unlawfully registered ineligible foreign nationals to vote in an election that was decided by a 19-vote margin, a Starr County defendant who voted twice on Election Day, a Harris County man who used his deceased father’s voter registration card to vote in an election, a worker who pled guilty after attempting to vote for two of her family members, and a Brooks County man who presented another voter’s registration card and illegally cast that voter’s ballot on Election Day.

In 10 years, just 100 federal prosecutions and 50 state convictions — in a colossal state with a population of more than 25 million people. You can do the math. You can be stupid and vote in America. You can be drunk and vote in America. You can be mentally insane and vote in America. You could vote in America for Snooki Or, like tens of millions of your fellow citizens, you can choose not to vote at all. But if you don’t have the means to get a driver’s license, or if you cannot afford the time and money it takes to get certain other forms of government ID, you are out of luck?

What a great country this is.

  6. WE could trade amusing anecdotes for years and never come to a consensus.

Just be happy you live in Illinois where there are no restrictions and you can even register and vote the same day with no ID—just like those union members that will be hauled in from Wisconsin to register/vote for Quinn!

AS information arises, I will continue to do these Myth of Voter Fraud posts no matter what, if for no other reason than to demonstrate the people who shriek loudest about Voter ID are the people who are doing most of the fraud.
