The We Can’t Win If We Don’t Cheat Act

KSDK.com:

“The Illinois Legislature has approved a plan to allow election-day voter registration this year…The law would extend in-person early voting hours…It would also remove identification requirements for in-person early voting and allow public universities to serve as locations for election day in-person absentee voting…The changes would only be in effect for the November election.”

Kinda takes your breath away, doesn’t it?

But if this such a fabulous law, why is it active for just one year? Legal challenges? Who knows.

While this may very well be characterized as the We Can’t Win If We Don’t Cheat Act, considering it is just for one year, I think it would be more appropriately named The Save Pat Quinn Act.

  1. It is great to hear that people can walk up get registered to vote to increase the minimum wage.

I don’t understand how you can say that this is cheating.

It is not cheating it is the Law!

  2. I never know if your ignorance is real or contrived, but people won’t be voting for an increase in minimum wage.

    You say it’s gonna be:

Do You Want A Pony? YES/NO

But what will be on the ballot will be:

Do Want Your Elected Official To Vote For A Pony? YES/NO

The fact that a government controlled by leftwing wackos STILL couldn’t get this passed on its own is a testament to how truly messed up Illinois government is.

This is nothing more than a ploy to turn out voters for Democrats—which is what ALL the Democrat ballot initiatives are about. If they can’t win on their decades-long control of government policies they’ll win by pandering to the low-IQ voters!

    Which is their primary constituency.

You don’t have to be stupid to vote for Democrats—but it helps!

But just in case you are really interested in what happens when the minimum wage is jacked up, take a look at leftwing wacko Seattle suburb which has enacted a $15 minimum wage—it ain’t purdy.

  3. Raising the minimum wage kills jobs, raises prices and cost of living for everyone. Only a complete and utter moron would support it. Or a democrat trying to buy votes.

Note: those two options are NOT mutually exclusive.

  4. QCOnline editorial agrees with me saying this is the Vote Early AND Often bill.

Pathetically, the editorialist urges Quinn to veto this abomination while admitting this was crafted by Democrats as The Protect Pat Quinn Act.

But we all have urges, right? šŸ˜‰
