The Two Americas

The Hill:

“Schools cannot require students or their parents to provide Social Security numbers, birth certificates or other documentation showing citizenship as a condition of enrollment under formal Obama administration guidance issued Thursday.”

AG Eric Holder was adamant in preventing the hurt these obscene requirements would cause illegals, saying such policies would “have a chilling effect on student enrollment, raising barriers for undocumented children and children from immigrant families who seek to receive the public education to which they are entitled.”

It’s been a while since I enrolled Examiner Jr. in school, but I do remember having to round up a plethora of documentation including inoculations, birth certificate, SS#, test for lead paint, etc.

So why should the documented be required to do more than the undocumented—where’s the fairness in that? Why not just let every child go to public school with whatever documentation the parent(s) deems necessary and just, so that the documented will be on equal footing with the undocumented?

But who should foot the bill for this undocumented public school entitlement? Why should documented US taxpayers be burdened with undocumented school children? Here’s an idea; determine the country of origin for each undocumented and send the bill for the “free” public schooling to their home country.

That way there would be no resentment among the documented and the undocumented would still get their “free” entitled education.

It’s a Win-Win!

  1. Texas has over a half a million illegals.
If you use the parents for slave labor the least you should do is educate their children.

I know that the rich would rather use the children for slave labor as well. They have small hands and they could be put to good use by the rich.
