Getting Creative In Campaign Ads

I’m sure most of you in the QCs have seen this campaign ad by Joni Ernst who is a GOPer running in a crowded five person field for the privilege of taking out Democrat elitist lawyer and farmer-hater Bruce Braley for Harkin’s US Senate seat.

Juicy quote from the ad:

“I grew up castrating hogs on an Iowa farm, so when I come to Washington, I’ll know how to cut pork…Washington is full of big spenders. Let’s make ’em squeal”

You go girl, and who among us, male or female, hasn’t at some time wanted to do a little “cutting” on a rogue lawmaker?

On the other side of the country is Will Brooke, GOP candidate for congress from Alabama.

Brooke sets up the bazillion pages of Obamacare in a frame and attempts to pierce it with first, a .40 Glock, then a .270 Cooper rifle. Then he brings out the big gun—an AR-15, but even that won’t cut through the Obamacare abomination. So he is left with only one alternative—a shredder.

Phil Hare got the vapors and shrieked about how it was “shameful” to even talk about abolishing Obamacare—-he’d probably have to go to a psyche ward after watching some Alabama redneck pumping Obamacare full of lead.

We need more creativity in political ads—like these, and less the generic GOPer X hates children, women, gays and wants to send jobs to Mars and Democrats are just a pack of socialist, god-hating, destroyers of our children/grandchildren’s future.
