Quote from John F. Kennedy about his tax cut found on page 17 of The Notes: Ronald Reagan’s Private Collection of Stories and Wisdom with Reagan’s original spelling and punctuation:

“Our true choice is not between tax reduction on the 1 hand & the avoidance of large Fed. deficits on the other. Our economy stifled by restrictive tax rates will never produce enough revenue to balance the budget. Just as it will never produce enough jobs or enough profits.”

  1. Truer words have never been spoken when referring to a top tax rate of 91% being reduced to 70%.
    The issue is that it has been dropped to 33%. I am sure that Kennedy would say that 33% is not a stifling tax as the 91% that he reduced.
