Try To Act Surprised

From AP via The Hare-Dispatch:

“Illinois has borrowed more than $1 million this year to help cover its own expenses from money taxpayers give to charity.”

Is there no one or no entity safe from the “borrowing” schemes of our dullards, hacks and crooks in Springfield? Who decided the corrupt State O’ Illinois could “borrow” from the money taxpayers checked off to be given to charities? Why would any sane person voluntarily give money to such a corrupt government?

The director of one of the seven chosen charities explains this little government sponsored scam:

“My concern is that taxpayers don’t know that they’re donating to charities that don’t even get their money. It just seems really inappropriate to use charities to pull money in, and then pull that money out to pay for bills.”

Well yes, it WOULD be “really inappropriate” in any other state than Illinois, where duping the rubes and robbing the taxpayers has become an art form.

  1. You should visit the Hyvee in Silvis at 2:00 pm today. Some of the Dispatch/Argus big wigs will be there looking for input.
