Today the Hare-Dispatch featured another Letter To The Editor from one of those smart-as-a-whip Quad City Next Uppers.
Challenged to offer solutions, not just criticism of Bobby Schilling, the NextUpper offered this:
“The first solution would be for unemployed, underemployed and working people in the 17th Congressional District to contact Mr. Schilling and tell him we need good jobs now.”
Then the NextUpper provided all the contact information for Schilling. Can’t these people move beyond these tired, trite leftist tactics to make their point?
This line of reasoning wouldn’t be so hilarious if we had not been represented for nearly 30 years by hard left, anti-business liberals. These demands for Schilling to reverse the damage Hare and Evans created over 28 years in only six months is laughable—- this poor economy and massive unemployment is what Schilling “inherited”.
But never mind all that—the Dims are just pandering to the dimwitted. What is hoot worthy is that the NextUpper chooses to quote well-known, self-described anarchist and socialist Noam Chomsky to bolster her position:
“To some degree it matters who’s in office, but it matters more how much pressure they’re under from the public”—Noam Chomsky
Maybe so, but if you make your case using a well-known radical in a midwestern newspaper be prepared for the lulz.
