If You’ve Lost The Dick, You’ve Lost The War

You know it’s bad for Obama and the economy when reliable liberal hacks like Dick Durbin jump ship and tell inconvenient truths—to the public.

Amazingly, The Dickster says the time for Obama to employ the Lame Blame Game is OVER and Obama must be held accountable for the tanking economy.

Like rats from a sinking ship, Durbin and his Democrat pals don’t want to go down with The Good Ship Obama.

It’s a new world in DemLand.

  1. Perhaps the Dick could have that same conversation with Quinn and the merry band of Democrats in Springfield.

Of course Durbin/Pelosi/Reid already had control of the congressional ship back in 2006 … so even though they want to tie Obama to the anchor and toss him overboard, they were at the helm for a couple years before Obama started crashing into icebergs.

  2. Well yeah jb, that’s the thing isn’t it? Durbin and his Democrat cronies have had their hand on the wheel of the Senate bus since ’06, but now he’s decided Obama is the unruly passenger who must be tossed under the bus.

If the bus driver ain’t happy, NOBODY’S happy! 🙂

  3. I wouldn’t count out Obama in 2012. He proved in 2008, what is a given in politics –> personality and mojo often outweigh substance in elections.

  4. I’m not counting Obama out either, but the fact that reliable liberal hacks like Durbin are jumping ship, rather than parroting approved talking points says something about what shape Obama is in.

I’m guessing that no matter who his GOP opponent is, the economy will be his most formidable challenger. Obama just can’t seem to move on from his leftwing ideology—which has been proven a failure over and over.

I totally agree with your assessment. Scary, Huh! As Bill Clinton campaigned against George Bush 1 – It’s the economy stupid! But I think the Republicans could be their own worst enemy. Knowing the message and selling the message along with a marketable candidate – make it easy to fumble the ball.

  6. Oh yeah, you can never count the GOP out when it comes to screwing it up! 🙂

But I think as time passes and the more wacky candidates flame out, a decent candidate will emerge. Why should the serious candidates have to fight for press coverage with the Trumps/Gingrich/Palins, etc? Let these people burn themselves out, then get ready to rumble!

I still can’t figure out why you keep getting thrown into moderation, but then last night when I was catching up on commenting, WP threw one of MY comments into moderation! I’d say lol, except it really torks me off! 😦
