The decades-in-the-making capital bill has been held up during the construction season by mindless game-playing on the part of Illinois senate Democrats who decided to go all cutesy-poo and tack on $430 million to this bill for human services and education. Naturally the House rebelled at this fiscally irresponsible cheap trick and now the entire bill—and the much needed jobs are in jeopardy.
Sen. Dave Koehler, who is running for 17th CD congressman, exposes how craven he and his Democrat senate pals are:
“[Senate Democrats] played the game of chicken and now we have to blink. We don’t want to see these projects stop or see people thrown out of work.”
So typical of the Democrat political class in Springfield—they don’t really care about anything but exercising power. If the little people are hurt—well so what? Ya gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet, etc.
What a buffoon!
For now, I don’t know if Koehler will be as much fun to blog about as Hare—but he’s lookin’ good!
