The Illinois Civil Union Act a/k/a The Lawyer’s Full Employment Act

Illinois Review:

“Complaints on two Illinois bed and breakfast facilities that host wedding celebrations but refuse civil union ceremonies have been filed with the Illinois Department of Human Rights . . . The argument appears to be headed for a court judgement to clarify Illinois’ new law.”

This is turning out to be more complex than just having the “right to marry the person that they love”, you’ve got to have the right to marry where you want.

And why are these B & B’s so darned picky? Why can’t they be more like lawyers and just see a buck as a buck—no matter where it comes from?
