It is because of the Republicans that still inhabit Congress that causes it’s numbers as a whole to be in the tank. Once we vote all the backward thinking deluded Republican fools out of there and replace them with Disciples of the progressive ORACLE, the numbers will improve dramatically…

How can all the members support the union in the same way when the old guys in the UAW agreed to allow the younger guys to work for half the money the old guys get? What happened to SOLIDARITY forever. The UAW is hardley a union anymore.

The gulf between bosses and labor members has never been wider. In the past Democrat primary election, labor tried to dump Sen. Mike Jacobs because he wouldn’t do what they told him to do. Try, try as the UAW, Laborer’s and Teamsters did they failed to convince the membership to follow their lead off the end of the pier.

These so called “NEWS LABOR BOSSES” are midgets compared to the “LABOR LEADERS” of the past. The new guys have no loyalty, no understanding of past labor struggles, and to willingly sold out young members with a two and three tier wage systems!

Unfortunately, all that matters today is for the NEW LABOR BOSSES is to “talk a good game.”

Thanks for the comment O. It’s difficult for a non-union person like me to gauge how this card check thing plays with the rank and file.

Since Hare is cheerleading this, I figured it was a big deal with the union bosses, but it helps to know what the members think—which isn’t necessarily the same!

I hate to say it but I’m with you on the card check thing. The Union is only strong if all the members support it. A secret ballot with 80 to 90% in favor of Unionizing is strong and sends a message. With the card check nobody really knows how much solidarity the Union has until it’s time to strike. If you don’t have at least 75% of the members standing together, you ain’t got sh%t Baby. I’d rather know going into talks how solid the members will support the Union.
