A Fearless Prediction
Yesterday our wonderful congressman Phil Hare voted to extend unemployment benefits and the first time homebuyer’s tax credit of $8000 to April 30, 2010. The income caps for the homebuyer exemption was raised to $125K for individuals and $225K for married couples—the real downtrodden, no?
Hare still wasn’t satisfied with this and was quoted as saying the “extension is not as long as I preferred”.
What a surprise.
It’s not just me, but those I know engaged in the real estate biz believe that this $8000 first time homebuyer’s tax credit will live in perpetuity like the farm subsidies—the real estate lobby is too powerful for politicians like Hare to ignore.
At least this isn’t costing us money like the Cash for Clunkers deal—this time it will cut federal revenues which will be made up by—-gee, I dunno, ask Phil.
Maybe Phil needs to talk with Smiling Bob and let him hook him up with some enzyte.

Why are you so against Cong. Hare helping the less fortunate? What should Phil do? Spit in the face of the unemployeed? When did the Republican Party become so angry? When did the radical right give up on Pres. Bush’s compassionate conservatism and “1000 points of light”?

What Phil should do for the unemployed is get off his ass and round up some private sector jobs in the 17th—we’ve been bleeding jobs here since Evans was congressman and it’s just gotten worse. Just extending unemployment benefits to the unemployed is a losers game—we need jobs NOW Phil.
Hare needs to do something FOR his district rather than just cook up new ways to spend our money.
If unemployment is still at 10% or above, it won’t just be conservatives who will be angry—EVERYBODY will be angry, and you know what happens then—THROW THE BUMS OUT!

Any citizen that is not angry with Congress must be insane … or ignorant … or they are cronies with some politician and they are “getting theirs”.
These crooks are innovative, and have learned to steal not just current assets, but are also stealing our future.
One way or another, for better or worse, real change is coming.
