No Bureaucrat Left Behind

The Nancy Pelosi “Affordable Health Care for America Act” is about much more than affordable health care—it creates 111 new federal bureaucracies.

Go to the link for the list of the entire 111, but some of my favorites are the “Health Choices Administration”, the “Telehealth Advisory Committee” and “No Child Left Unimmunized Against Influenza”.

There are at least nine bureaucracies devoted to Indian concerns—I’m not sure if that means Native Americans or people from India, but whichever it is certainly has a powerful lobby in the House.

The long term cost to sustain all this new bureaucracy is unknown, but it is estimated to cost around $16.65 million per annum for salaries alone, and I think it’s safe to say these jobs will be filled by family, friends, cronies and donors of Democrats.

It’s time to give up the charade that this this bill has anything to do with affordable health care; instead of the Affordable Health Care For America Act, it should be named The Federal Government Full Employment Act.

  1. Well, Obama did say “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. (as our military)

It looks like he is on course to meet that goal, except these forces will be serving BigGov, and the citizens will be their victims, unless you are a BigGov protected group.

When Obama says “we”, he seems to mean only himself and his Marxist pals … 111 new agencies full of ACORN quality, PC forces, to control civilians’ lives.

Just restricting funding for abortion is not near enough to make this pig fly. Republicans need a dozen “blue dogs” to join them in a real reform bill that would actually reduce costs and improve care.

  3. Another government piece of legislation that will be filled with nepotism. All of their friends and relatives will not need to worry about the 10% unemployment rate as this bill will keep them working at the taxpayers expense.
