Panic In Hopeyville

For at least the fourth time, Obama has played the tired, banal, stale race card in order to smear the McCain campaign and make himself look like a victim. Because he can’t win on issues, he is playing the only card he has—his race.

His banal whining will be all too familiar to readers here:

“…not your typical presidential candidate…got a funny name…Republicans say…we’re going to scare people about Barack…maybe he’s got Muslim connections…he hangs out with radicals…he’s not patriotic”…blahblahblahZzzzzz.

Except for the “hangs out with radicals” bit which is true, McCain has never said any of the above and neither has anyone on his campaign.

Do we really want a president who casts himself as a victim? What does that say about Obama? Why doesn’t he use facts to prove his case instead of the race card? Why does he deliberately make himself look weak and unpresidential?

What a loser—Barry Wiiiiiner.

  1. Exactly – stand up for yourself you freaking weenie!

You run with a racist, a terrorist and a felon – and you are a playing this stupid game?

Of course there are people that will not vote for Obama because he is black – as many people as those who will not vote for McCain because he is old.

You don’t see him crying – in fact, he acts like a MAN and accepts the perspective and jokes about it. Did you see him on ‘The Tonight Show’?

    (paraphrase)
“Some people say that I am too old. And I am. My Social Security number is…8″

Now that is a sense of humor and character.
    Not whining!

I want a POTUS that has character, not a whiner.

  2. His whining is just unseemly—nobody wants a POTUS who sees himself as a freakin’ VICTIM!

This is why I think the GOP/McCain campaign should lay off the “media is being mean to us” bit—the whining victimhood thing is what the Dems do, not the GOP.

Of course the press is biased and pro-Obama/Democrat, but whining about it just makes McCain/GOP look weak, like Barry Wiiiiiner.

  3. Thankfully, you have never heard a peep out of McCain/ Palin on this issue – or their camps. I agree, for them to do it would be whimpy, even though it is true.

Of course, the conservative news pundits are talking this up.

I agree, Obama talking about this is whimpy – and the last thing anyone wants is a whimpy POTUS. We already know that he would coware as Commander-in-Chief, he does not need to show us a preview.

  4. McCain is more manly because he joked about his age? McCain was a real tough guy when he was swift boated by Bush supporters 8 years ago and the manliest thing he could say to Bush was “That really hurt George.” George gave him a manly smirk. Two years later McCain embraced Bush in a manly hug.

  5. Obama really is getting tiresome with his crying wolf about McCain using the race card. He is doing damage to the cause of attacking actual racist comments with his phony howling.

  6. Making light of oneself, rather than crying because “(they have not, but they might) tell you that I am black” is indeed a wonderful character trait.

I think that it would show a lot about you, Oracle, for you to kid about your limited intelligence. You know, turn a negative into a positive…

  7. Make up your mind Barack, are you black or are you white.

    Comment by Tspud | September 6, 2008

  8. Spud,

In case you didn’t notice, Obama’s Mom was white and his dad was black. Consequently, Barack is white and black. What color are you Spud? White????

On another issue, did anyone bedsides me notice “the anti-hog plant people” at the Democrat’s Annual Labor Day picnic? Self-anointed leaders of the “anti-hog faction” congregated under a shady tree and pigged out on “pulled-pork” sandwiches. After wolfing down a their pork plates they were spotted parading around the rest of the time with barbecue sauce smeared all over their ruddy faces. Hilarious. Sheeesh!

  9. I am thinking that Obama should bolster his status by promising to start a National Lottery. Then they could sell it off to China once he and the congress give away more than they take in.

  10. The Chinese are used to loaning us money thanks to the Bush deficit.

  11. Apparently, Oracle is not the only one…

    9:00 Saturday evening – CNN
    The anchor shows a poll,

    Obama 45%
    McCain 42%
    Undecided 13%

Then he says, “these numbers are mostly from before Palin’s speech.”

Then he immediately turns to his computer and says, “we want to hear from you, why do you believe that McCain did not get as big a bounce from Palin?”

    huh?

He just got done saying that the poll was from BEFORE the Palin speech, thus the poll does not show a bounce.

At least Oracle should feel good that he is not the only total idiot out there…

  12. I missed the Democrat’s Labor Day Picnic. but would give one of my “piggies” to have seen Doug Reihl piggong out on pullled pork. What a hypocrit. Does anyone have a photo from the momentous pork feeding?

How can you oppose a pog plant and then pig out on swine?
