Saving The Planet, One Massive Houseboat At A Time
If Al Gore didn’t exist, Republicans would have to invent him in order to expose the massive hypocrisy of the environmentalist movement.
It’s not enough that the Savior Of The Planet—-no, not Obama— Gore owns an energy inefficient house and gets around in energy inefficient limos, SUVs and jets—oh, no, now Gore has bought a massive 100 foot houseboat he calls “Bio-Solar One” which he claims is environmentally friendly.
According the builder of this ego-tripping battleship, the engines run on bio-diesel fuel and only burn about 2 gallons an hour. The fuel tank has a 500 gallon capacity, but just one problem—the marina where this monstrosity is parked doesn’t sell bio-fuel. Oh well, I’m guessing the jet-skis shown on the photo of this boat don’t run on bio-fuel either, but hey, it’s the thought that counts—words over deeds.
Big deal – so the primary proponent of Global Warming is a massive hypocrit. So the #1 man on the GW front has made MORE THAN $100-million on Global Warming…
Is this supposed to mean that the sheep on the left are supposed to believe the ‘vast right-wing conspiracy’ that says that Global warming does not exist?
Come on, it rained a lot in the QC’s this Spring – something had to cause it!
The winter was more brutal than the last 20, something had to cause it!
There were enormous winds a couple of weeks ago – that HAD to be Global warming!

mowen, you are so stupid. someday you will realize there is a difference between meteorology and climatology.
regardless of whether you think that carbon credits are a good idea, regardless of whether you think hybrid cars are worth the money, regardless of whether you think that humans are even a contributing factor to the climate, you have to face the fact that the climate is indeed changing. the polar is IS melting. at an extremely alarming rate even… and if you knw a little bit about climatology, you would realize that the delicate balance of the oceans and its currents determine the conditions for the earth. if the ocean temperature changes then we could be in for a real change. not to mention to fact that most of the worlds population lives at, or very close to, sea level. if the oceans rise, we will be looking at billions of displaced people.
but keep denying the problem because of everyday weather phenomena… moron…

Robbie,
OF COURSE the climate is changing.
It always has,
It always will.
The polar ice caps, at one time, never existed.
They have formed,
They have melted,
They have formed again.
They will melt again.
Thank you for agreeing with what I have been saying!
The ‘Little Ice Age’ (google this and learn something) was a period of time that began in the 1350’s and lasted for almost 500-years.
This was a period of world history when the global temperatures decreased by approximately 3-degrees. So now, in the last 150-years, there has been a rebound of the ‘Little Ice Age’ to the tune of less than 1-degree.
WOW!!!
The only issue is that Al Gore was smart enough to exploit these fluxuations in nature and sell (to all you liberal whack jobs) the fact that human existance can overcome nature.
1. He is smart.
2. By his very actions, he does not believe what he is selling,
3. Human existance cannot overpower God or nature.
Again, Robbie – google ‘Little Ice Age’ – learning something about what you believe in would be a very reasonable thing!

mowen, i am not stupid. i know exactly what the little ice age. there’s even that nice theory that the cold temperatures in europe created the more dense wood that makes the stradivarius violins sound so good. so don’t try to pretend you know something i don’t. its kinda pathetic really.
if you werent so dense, you would realize that i have never advocated al gore or any of that shit.
all i am saying is that we as humans need to prepare for climate change. but instead, we have a bunch of mouthpieces like you that keep talking about how climate change is a myth. all they can come up with is ‘al gore is a hypocrite.’
once again, awfully pathetic.

Robbie,
So you understand that climate change is historical and expected.
Yopu appreciate the fact that Al Gore is exploiting the climate change reality – to his enormous profit.
So what is your point?
I am a bad guy because I agree that Al Gore is exploiting the GW movement?
I am a bad guy because I (as you seem to as well) appreciate the fact that climate change is a historic reality?
I don’t get it – what are you so bent out of shape over?
Comment by tiger woods | August 6, 2008
mowen, my point is, you need to quit bashing global warming and climate change with meteorological events. i am so sick of people saying ‘if theres global warming how come my city was cold this month’ because the two things have nothing to do with each other.
Comment by Robbie | August 6, 2008
and for the record, where we do have debate is on whether or not man is effecting climate change. you seem to think that man has ZERO effect on the climate simply because ‘the climate has always changed.’ once again, i don’t see these two ideas as mutually exclusive. i think that industrialized society is indeed having an effect on the global climate and the environment of our planet. i have frequently admitted though that i dont think things like carbon credits and al gore are the solution. its funny though, things like properly inflated tires really are the easy things we can do to conserve energy. but they just get laughed off by small minded people.
for once i actually agree with the old testement; we should be stewards of the earth. somehow that always gets lost because christians are too busy quoting leviticus and hating gays.
Comment by Robbie | August 6, 2008
Robbie,
Of course we can be good stewards of our environment. However, the GW-groupies want to sacrafice our economy for the cause, when the fact remains that there is little we can do (especially as Americans, when so many others affect the environment so much more than we do (India – China)).
At the same time, it seems to make sense that “industrialized society” has an effect – but then explain the cause of the ‘Little Ice Age” – as there was no “industrialized society” in 1350.
Help me to understand how GW and weather have ‘nothing to do with one another?’ I appreciate the fact that individual day-to-day weather events do not have much in common, but looking at the weather of the 1930’s when there was a 10-year heat wave (Dust Bowl) seems to be an appropriate issue to discuss, no?

Here is the rub about global warming. Most figures I have read point to a very small percentage of the affect can be traced back to mankind. Still I am like Robbie, I think we could do a much better job of stewarding our environment. I just think the tire thing trivializes things we should be doing. Look at city sprawl that is far more reaching into environmental problems than tire levels. And in the end it is probably moot because the atheistic gods of Science are busy trying to manipulate weather with their voodoo. And once mankind starts manipulating things they always get whacked up.

Am I on the bad list again Mrs. QCE?
Comment by the oracle | August 7, 2008
No O, you’re not on the “bad list” again, but why are feeling guilty? SHOULD you be on the bad list?
