It’s Only June . . .
. . .and already Obama is playing the race card.
Here’s what Obama said about the Republicans at a fundraiser in order to get The Faithful whipped into a wallet-opening frenzy:
“We know what kind of a campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid. They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”
Care to offer some proof for those smears, Senator?
Is this what Obama’s calls “new politics”? I’ve noticed even his worshippers in the press no longer use this talking point because it is so bogus. I guess what is really “new” about this is that Obama relishes getting down and dirty in the political sewer instead of leaving the smears to his surrogates. Bravo, Barry!
So now it’s considered fearmongering to point out the truth that he’s young and inexperienced? Since when? It seems obvious that pointing out any inconvenient truth about Obama will be branded as “fearmongering”.
The inconvenient truth for Obama is that during the primaries, is was Democrats playing the race card against other Democrats—not Republicans. It was also Democrats who said race was an issue—both for voting FOR Obama and AGAINST Obama. But hey, just go ahead and demonize the Republicans, like the good down and dirty Chicago pol you are.
I gave up a long time ago expecting Barry to tell the truth—he’s lied about his preacher, NAFTA, about FISA, about campaign finance reform—-soon there will be nothing left to lie about.
But he’ll still be able to give a heckuva scripted speech.
I believe that the November Election comes down to two major issues,
1. Oil. “Its the economy stupid” is a great tag line, but now its even more specific – the candidate that can show the voting public that he has a real plan for affecting gasoline prices – goes a long way to winning the vote,
2. “Change” – up to this point, Obama has ‘talked’ about change, but has a history of being the same-old left-of-Kennedy Liberal.
At the same time, McCain has said little about change, but has a political history full of ‘change’ stances.
Obama needs to keep fooling those he has been fooling, and add to that list, or somehow actually put the words into action (which his politics liekly will not allow) – and McCain needs to let his record of bi-partisanship show.
““““““
As for the race-card, sure, expect Obama to use it as it has gotten him a long way so far.

Obama’s campaign is beating the swift boat style bastards to the punch with this. It’s a sound strategy. And by the way QC Baby, your right wing spokesman, Rush Limbaugh, has been reminding us that Barack’s middle name is Hussein for what, two years now? Plus all the gurus at FOX news. Please don’t pretend race card innocence on behalf of the right wing. All’s fair in love, war and politics.

O, this is a really lame comment—even by your standards. You’re now quoting Rush Limbaugh? What a hoot—even I don’t listen to him!
But so what if Limbaugh DOES mention that “Hussein” is Obama’s name? So did liberal Bob Kerrey and all the other multicultural worshipers. Are you now saying that telling the truth about Obama is considered a “smear”? Racism? Hail to The Victim In Chief!
So what topic is NOT off-limits concerning Obama—how purdy he talks?
And about those Swift-Boaters; Obama used them as an excuse to drop out of public financing, but here’s the facts:
In ‘04:
Dem 527 spending: $316 mil
GOP 527 spending: $113 mil
So far in ‘08:
Dem: $116 mil
GOP: $ 69 mil
It’s just the Swiftboaters’ 527 was more effective because it reflected the truth about John Kerry—liberal George Soros’ 527 were just lame smears against Bush—I ought to know because those lame@ss things were running 24/7 during the run up to the Iowa caucus.
You wouldn’t know it by listening to the pundits and Democrats, but money ain’t everything in politics—if it was, John Kerry would be running for his second term this year.

Very good comment qce.
I believe the truth aspect of 2004 with Kerry was the issue. The Dem 527’s in 2008 will have nothing more than the silly, “in Iraq for 100-year” misquote and the “Bush III’ falacy.
The Rep 527’s will have, Wright, Fleger, Ayers, Rezco, Michele’s comment, etc.
It’s the truth of the matter that works for 527’s, not the amount of money. The Independents will win the election and they are smart enough to only be influenced by truth.
