Words To Live By
The next time your boss asks why you didn’t complete the Smith report on time, or why you are always late for work; or when your significant other wants to know why you won’t diaper the baby, take out the trash, empty the dishwasher or put the seat down; when the officer wants to know why you were doing 40 over the speed limit, just give ‘em the Michelle Obama ploy:
You know, this conversation doesn’t help my kids.
If it works for her, it can work for you!
Maybe—if you are the wife of The Golden Child—otherwise, all bets are off.
Why has she left the normal left-wing union postulate of: Hey, it isn’t my job according to contract by-laws?

When the Obamas went on this PR tour after Rev. Wright exploded, they had to know that the bulk of questions would be about Wright—the “this conversation doesn’t help my kids” bit is an absolute discussion killer—so why did Mrs. Obama even bother going out to face the press and their inane questions?
She had to know what was coming and she wasn’t prepared for it.

I love it! Your right wing blowhards say this guy or that hates America all the time. Michelle came up with her own stopper and you right wing fools have to suck it up. You go Girl!

O, you give too much credit to the “right wing blowhards”—Democrats have been the champs at show-stopping, debate enders for decades:
1. Object to Affirmative Action? You’re a racist/bigot.
2. Object to abortion? You’re a misogynist who wants to return to coathanger, back alley butchery.
3. Think Social Security needs reforming after 70 years? You want granny to eat dog food.
4. Don’t believe in same sex marriage? You’re a homophobe.
5. Object to the large number of undocumented illegals coming into our country? You’re a bigot/racist.
6. Question any Democrat/liberal about ANYTHING? You’re questioning their patriotism.
7. etc. etc. etc.
O, you just aren’t giving your people the proper credit they deserve for killing debate on important issues in this country.

Not once have you quoted one of my people as saying the interminable right wing lie “you hate America.”

hey how do you know this blog isn’t helping your kid? at the very least it keeps mom out of his hair telling him the things moms always pass on from generation from generation!

Now that I think about it, I’d say that both blogging and a long POTUS political campaign are about equally helpful to kids.
