Cleaning Out My Closet
…the Republican Party consists of three wings. First, there’s the Money! wing, whose guiding principal is: “Money. More.” Then the Bombs! wing, whose guiding principal is: “Grrrr! Rrrowf! Rrrowf!” And finally the Jesus! wing which believes God made gays on the seventh day at a wild post-creation party. (During which God did several things even He can’t remember. This Ain’t Yer Daddy’s Jerry Falwell in which Nick Kristof says liberals expose their ignorance and prejudice when they mock evangelical Christians.
Kristof says “bleeding-heart liberals” should reach out to the new generation of evangelicals since conservative Christian churches have done “superb work on poverty, AIDS, sex trafficking, climate change, prison abuse, malaria and genocide in Darfur.”
I’m always amazed at the bigoted hate that so-called “liberals” and “progressives” spew toward religious people, at the same time they claim to be “tolerant’.

Which would you rather lose: your house, your car or your credit cards?
It seems that more people, when faced with the choice of paying their mortgage, car payment or credit card bill are ahistorically paying for the car and credit cards rather than their house.
With the no-money down mortgages, many have been treating their homes like a “rent-to-own” deal, and are abandoning their homes in favor of keeping their cars and credit cards.
