I do not always agree with the Republicans either but I have served in Iraq and realize we should be there and not just cut and run. Rep Moffitt is an honorable man. I do not think he has the desire to deal with the cut throat politics of Washington. Maybe it is time for Western Illinois to get a fresh face in politics. Haven't we had enough factories close and businesses move on? How may farmers have had to go bankrupt while we have had the same leadership in Congress? Don Moffitt, R-Gilson. "It's my understanding that President Bush is opposed to the bill. But I'll flat-out say I think President Bush is wrong on this." this isn't even great because i hate bush! but i love that he will call out his leadership on an issue he disagrees with. i have always felt that moffitt was a great rep. and hes always been pretty against moving up the political ladder. but if he ever does, i would support him. sorry for the double comment, but this is why i loved my former state rep. who was a republican!!!
