From the Department of Duh
comes this breaking news story from The New York Times:Young Americans Are Leaning Left, New Poll Finds
The Times needed to consult a poll to find out this piece of “is it news if everyone knows it”? Sheesh!
As far back as the 1700s there was a quote “not to be a liberal at 20 is proof of lack of heart; to be one at 30 is proof of lack of head”.
Heck, even I was a liberal in my 20s, and that was a few decades ago. Why is the NYTimes just now making this shocking discovery?

Yeah that is an old piece of news. Heck I was almost liberal once upon a time during my teens. (Well more semi-liberal, but I have never been accused of having a heart.I have been accused of a lot of things but that is not one of them.)
Speaking of liberals, the QC Times managed to unintentionally give me a righteous laugh just before midnight. I clicked on the QCTimes site and they had a picture of everbody’s favorite liberal (okay…well I am sure she is somebody’s favorite liberal), Hillary Clinton, doing her best Elmer Gantry pose and right underneath the picture they had a title for an articles that went:
Researchers say they expect to be able to reproduce Neanderthal DNA
Too Funny

It’s far too easy to be liberal before you start paying taxes, or when a portion of your income comes from government sources.

I pay plenty of taxes and receive no government aid. But guess what? I am still a die hard liberal. I will continue to be my entire life.

hee!hee! Wanna bet, Robbie? Check back in 10-15 years when you have a couple kids and find out the feckless politicians have once again punted on Social Security/Medicaid reform and raised your taxes—a lot! It ain’t gonna be cheap for your generation to keep my generation in viagra an adult diapers.

Good for you Robbie - you are in a small minority. However Robbie, school teachers receive a government income, as do a growing number of people.

whats your point about school teachers Mowen?
QCE - I will be happy to buy you your adult diapers, but I do think that Viagra is a shame that it gets covered by insurance and other programs.
Comment by Robbie | June 28, 2007
My point about school teachers is that they get their pay from the government, thus they (think that they) benefit from a stronger government.
Your post stated that you ‘receive no government aid’ - my post stated that ‘it is easy to be liberal when you receive a portion of your income from the government (aid or government jobs).’
Nothing more - please do not read anything into my statement. I sincerely appreciate the job that most teachers do.
