Pentagon Develops Gay Bomb

Wowser! That was my reaction when I read this story from San Francisco. According to the story, the Pentagon developed a hormone bomb that would turn enemy soldiers into homosexuals and make them want to make love and not war—-you know what I’m sayin’ here. The Pentagon was asking for 7.5 million of your tax dollars for development of this “bomb”.

Hot damn! I couldn’t wait to blog about this, but thank the blogging gods, I saw this post by Jules Crittenden, who said this was old news that he had blogged about 2 1/2 years ago.

As it turns out, this “gay bomb” thing was dreamed up in ‘94 when President Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was in power. It was never really considered legitimate—-just one of those brain-storming things.

But do go to the second link, where you will find gays in a frenzy and also a left-wing bimbo who thinks Bush was POTUS in ‘94. Moonbats will bend space and time in order to pin a negative on GWB.

For The Anti-Body Count Journalism Crowd—-

I offer Michael Yon’s third post about his time in Iraq with the Queen’s Royal Lancers.

Go here for what it is like in Iraq along the Iranian border.

You won’t see these photos in the MSM. All you’ll see is terrorist sanctioned footage of our troops being blown up.

Expand your mind—–and your world.

Once More With Feeling

The local media have gone to the well one too many times with New York Times-like stories i.e. “World To End Tomorrow, Women and Minorities Hardest Hit”. (Yes, I know that headline is famously satirical).

The Sunday Moline Dispatch had it’s very own “World Ends Tomorrow” story headlined as Pump Prices Hit Poor Hardest.

For examples of the “poor” who are “hit hardest” the reporter finds one woman who feels she can no longer buy expensive junk food for her two children. Isn’t that a GOOD thing? The second “poor” is another woman who has to cut back on trips to Chicago and other superfluous driving. But isn’t that what we should be doing anyway, no matter if we’re rich or poor?

Except for the very rich, the rest of us have to adjust to economic realities.

Instead of just a kvetch session in the paper, why not report about alternatives? Did you know a bus ride is just 80 cents, which means you can get to and from work or school for just $1.60 a day? You can get a month-long bus pass for just $25.00. I’ll bet bus fare to Chicago is pretty cheap too.

Wouldn’t it be nice to read the paper and find real information we could use rather than the latest incarnation of “World To End Tomorrow, Women and Minorities Hardest Hit”?

Time For A New Party?

Expanding on a post by scoundrel concerning the possible effects on the ‘08 election of a Michael Bloomberg run for POTUS, Mark Tapscott blogs about the latest survey showing that in just 6 months, the Democrat Congress has hit a 10 year low in popularity and that the “moment may be approaching for an independent, trans-partisan political party, a citizens party…” because the low approval ratings for the Democrat Congress are not giving the GOP a boost either, which means people are finally catching on to the fact that the “culture of corruption” is bipartisan.

Jules Crittenden says  “we can now officially call this a lame-duck Congress”. Well, yeah. Rasmussen says Harry Reid’s approval rating is at 19%. Yikes! Even Dick Cheney has an approval rating of 38%—-how (fast) the might have fallen.

ADDENDUM: Here’s the link to the Rasmussen Report showing Harry Reid’s approval rating at 19% (and other stuff).
