Quote Of The Day
“(The Democrat Party) should be called the Outdoor Chair Party because it folds so easily” – Don Surber
And speaking of folding, what’s up with Phlip Phloppin’ Phil? In a recent article (sorry, no link, it’s the Dispatch) Phlipper bragged that any appropriations bill would have “strings” on Bush that would include “phased withdrawals”. The only ”string” HR2206 contained was gobs and gobs of pork. So much for Nostradamus Hare’s predictions.
The article also quoted Phlipper as saying that he would not vote to deny money to troops in the field, but isn’t that exactly what he did when he voted NO on HR2206 this week?
I wonder who or what made Phlipper flip?
Pheckless Phil is doing what all good little party puppets do. His puppet-masters pull on his motion strings his mouth moves then he dances the party boogie. That is why he was selected, he is willing to be the local party puppet.

I have to admit, Hare’s flip-flopping vote surprised me inspite of my soft bigotry of low expectations for him.
Why would he have to lie about never cutting funding for troops in the field if he planned to vote against funding?
Let’s get real about the lack of political pressure on Phil Hare—-he will be Congressman for life or until he decides to retire and give his seat to his son. Hare can say and do anything he wants and still get elected in the 17th—that’s just the facts.
That’s why I’m surprised he lied about the troop funding thing. He could just as easily said he was going to support the troops by cutting funding and bringing them home, which is a current Dem mantra. Even Crazy Dick (our troops are Nazis!) Durbin voted for funding, so what was Hare’s motivation for lying to us, then voting with the minority (280-142) against funding?
I really don’t get it.

I think I finally figured out why Hare claimed “he would not deny money to troops in the field” when he knew he was going to vote against funding. This was a sop to veteran’s groups that would probably not be too happy with Hare cutting off funds for their brothers-in-arms in the field.
I’m sure Hare is counting on Feckless Felker and the rest of the local media to protect him, never question his spin or expose his votes.
That’s a pretty safe bet.
